Treatment
Team: The Valleyhead model for
care and treatment for our girls is based on a fully integrated
interdisciplinary treatment team. This model ensures that all aspects
of a girls life are fully reflected in the treatment service
plan as well as in the daily program. Interdepartmental teams consist
of a students clinician, her two teachers and her residential
staff. This group provides a structure that ensures a concentrated
focus on her needs and goals. Weekly team meetings provide the forum
in which girls are discussed in detail by the team, which then generates
specific goals and interventions. The Individualized Service Plan
is developed at an interdisciplinary meeting with input from the
family, relevant outside agencies, and the girl herself and is finalized
by her clinician. This document provides the starting point from
which goals and objectives are targeted and refined over the course
of treatment.
