Tuition Rates: Our rates are set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office for Administration and Finance, Operational Services Division. Rates are effective through June 30, 2005. Please contact the admissions office at Valleyhead at (413) 637-3635, extension 74 for appropriate tuition rate information.

Fees specific to your child will be outlined and agreed upon, to the degree that is possible, at the time of acceptance. Additional services may be required, depending upon the individual needs of the student, and these will be billed accordingly. We will notify you prior to any additional expenditures.

Approval & Licensing: Licensed by the Massachusetts Office of Child Care Services and approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education and the Department of Social Services. Also, approved by the Department of Education in NY, CT, NJ, NH, and RI; and, the Department of Social Services in NY, the Department of Children and Families in CT, Department of Children, Youth and Families in RI and the Division of Youth and Family Services in NJ.

Procedure to Apply:

I. Send referral package which includes psychological evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, social history, placement history, current IEP, progress reports, discharge summaries, transcripts, and any other relevant material.

II. Schedule a pre-placement interview and tour of the campus. Valleyhead encourages family members to participate in this process.

III. Acceptance decisions are made within two weeks of the pre-placement interview.

IV. If accepted, the Valleyhead Admissions Department will send an acceptance letter, an admissions packet and description of all required documentation and schedule a tentative date of admission.

V. Documentation is returned to the Admissions Department and an actual date of admission is scheduled.
